We believe your wedding invitation should feel as unique as the celebration itself.
Our digital invitations combine custom watercolor artwork, elegant typography, animation and music to tell the story of your wedding in a beautiful, immersive format.
Whether you envision a watercolor painting of your wedding venue, illustrations inspired by your destination, a custom monogram or other meaningful details, our team will work with you to develop a creative direction that reflects the atmosphere of your wedding.
We can create up to 4 custom watercolor slides, which are then animated and brought together to create your final invitation video.
What Does a Digital Wedding Invitation Look Like?
Our digital invitations are created in a portrait 18:9 aspect ratio, making them ideal for viewing and sharing on a mobile phone.
Your finished invitation is delivered as an MP4 video file of up to one minute, complete with animation and music of your choice.
The portrait format allows the artwork, typography and animation to fill the screen beautifully when your guests open the invitation on their phones.
It is important to note that our digital invitations are videos rather than interactive invitations. This means that buttons, links, wedding website addresses or QR codes appearing within the video are not directly clickable.

One of the biggest advantages of a digital invitation is how easily it can be shared with friends and family, wherever they are in the world.
Once you receive your completed MP4 invitation, you can share it digitally with your guests without waiting for printing or international shipping.
Digital invitations can also beautifully complement traditional printed stationery. Many couples choose to use a Digital Save the Date first and then follow with a luxurious printed invitation suite closer to their wedding.
When to Choose a Digital Invitation or Save the Date
There are several occasions when a digital invitation can be particularly useful:
When timing matters. If you would like to announce your wedding without waiting for printing and shipping, a Digital Save the Date can be a wonderful option. Please keep in mind that bespoke artwork and animation still require design and production time.
For destination weddings. A digital invitation is an elegant way to introduce your guests to the destination, venue and atmosphere of your celebration through watercolor artwork, movement and music.
Alongside your printed invitations. Your digital invitation doesn't necessarily have to replace printed stationery. It can complement your printed wedding suite and give your guests another beautiful way to experience your wedding design.
To create a cohesive wedding experience. Artwork created for your Digital Save the Date can later be incorporated into your printed wedding invitations, helping create a consistent visual identity throughout your wedding stationery.
Our Digital Invitation Design Process
Every digital invitation begins with understanding your wedding and your vision.
Once your order is confirmed, we will send you an initial questionnaire with questions about your wedding, venue, date, preferred design style, wording, artwork and the overall look and feel you would like us to create.
The questionnaire gives us our initial creative direction, but the process doesn't stop there. We will continue refining the details with you through email conversations, allowing us to better understand your preferences and develop the design.
We will then create individual design proofs for each slide of your invitation. These proofs allow you to see the artwork, wording, names, typography and overall layout before we begin creating the animation.
Your project includes up to 2 rounds of revisions for small adjustments to the proposed design, such as minor changes to text, fonts, positioning or other design details.
These revision rounds are intended to refine the agreed creative direction. They do not include completely redesigning the invitation, substantially changing the overall layout or requesting an entirely new creative direction after the initial design has been created. Significant redesigns may incur an additional design fee.
Approving Your Invitation Before Animation
This is one of the most important stages of the process.
Before we assemble your final video, we will ask you to carefully review your design proofs. Please check all wording, names, dates, fonts, artwork, positioning and layout at this stage.
Once you are happy with everything and approve your proofs, we will begin animating the artwork, incorporating your chosen music and assembling and rendering your final invitation video.
Because animation and video production involve considerably more work than adjusting a static design proof, changes requested after the proofs have been approved and the video has been assembled will incur an additional fee.
This includes changes to names, wording, fonts, artwork, layout or other previously approved elements.
For this reason, we strongly recommend taking the time to carefully review every slide before providing your final approval.
What Files Will I Receive?
When purchasing a digital invitation from Lettering by GRG, you will receive the final completed MP4 video invitation.
Your purchase does not include the source or working files used to create your invitation.
Individual watercolor files, editable artwork, design files, animation files and other source materials are not released as part of a digital invitation purchase. This allows us to protect the integrity, uniqueness and quality of the artwork and designs created by our studio.
However, there is an important benefit if you decide to continue your stationery journey with us.
If you subsequently commission your printed wedding invitations from Lettering by GRG, we can reuse the watercolor artwork originally created for your Digital Save the Date or invitation within your printed wedding stationery at no additional artwork cost.
This allows us to carry the visual story of your digital invitation beautifully into your printed wedding suite.

How much does a digital invitation or Save the Date cost?
Our bespoke digital invitations start from €1,200.
The final cost will depend on the amount and complexity of custom artwork, animation and personalization required for your design. Once we understand what you would like us to create, we can provide you with a personalized quote.
How long can my digital invitation be?
Our digital invitations can be up to one minute long.
The final duration will depend on the number of slides, artwork, wording and animation included in your invitation.
How many watercolor slides can I have?
We can create and animate up to 4 watercolor slides for your digital invitation.
These can feature elements such as your venue, destination, monogram and other details that help tell the story of your wedding.
Can I choose the music?
Yes. Music of your choice can be incorporated into your final invitation video.
Is the digital invitation clickable?
No. Our digital invitations are supplied as MP4 video files and are not interactive or clickable.
You can include your wedding website address, QR code or other information visually within the design, but guests will not be able to click a link directly within the video itself.
What format will I receive?
Your invitation will be delivered as a portrait-format MP4 video, created in an 18:9 aspect ratio and designed primarily for viewing and sharing on mobile devices.
How long does the design process take?
The timeframe depends on the amount and complexity of custom artwork required.
As an initial guideline, we typically require approximately 5–10 business days for the first design stage once we have received the information required to begin your project.
The complete timeframe will also depend on how quickly feedback and approvals are provided, the number of revisions required and the complexity of the final animation.
How many revisions are included?
Your project includes up to 2 rounds of revisions for small changes during the design-proof stage.
These revisions are intended for refinements such as minor wording, font, positioning or design adjustments. They do not include a complete redesign of the invitation, substantial changes to the overall layout or changing to an entirely different creative concept.
Additional or substantial revisions may be quoted separately.
Can I make changes after approving the proofs?
Yes, but once you have approved your design proofs and we have assembled the final video, any further changes will be charged separately.
This is because even what may appear to be a small change can require us to return to the design, animation and rendering stages of the project.
We therefore encourage you to carefully review every element of your proofs before giving us your final approval.
Will I receive the watercolor artwork separately?
No. When purchasing a digital invitation, you will exclusively receive the final completed video invitation.
Source files, individual watercolor artwork, editable designs and animation files are not included and will not be released.
If you later order your printed wedding invitations from Lettering by GRG, however, we will gladly reuse the watercolor artwork created for your digital invitation within your printed stationery at no additional artwork cost.

GUESTS NAMES ON DIGITAL INVITATIONS
We now offer custom designs where we personalize each invitation with your guests' names, adding a special touch to your event. Our videos are brief, lasting no more than 15 seconds, making them perfect for easy viewing on mobile devices or via email. Plus, we add a bit of magic with subtle motion, such as moving text and twinkling venue lights, just like in this example.
Prices start at 1200 Euros, with an additional 6 Euros for each guest customization.
