Handmade cotton paper

Brides looking for a unique and luxurious experience on their wedding invitations should consider our handmade cotton paper. Handmade from cotton fibers and cellulose, this paper has a wild and natural texture that is highlighted by its deckled edging. With its beautiful ivory color, it's the perfect complement to any wedding suite!

Given the handcrafting process, each sheet has its own individual character. Each will feature a unique deckled edge and very slight variances in shade, making each one a distinct experience.

Our handmade cotton paper is approximately 300gsm in weight, (150lbs). Its classic weight is quite durable: ensuring that your invitations will make a lasting impression on your guests.

This paper is only made to order, and it typically takes around three weeks to create a new batch. This includes the whole papermaking process of pulping, sheet-lifting, drying, sorting, as well as preparing for press printing. However, this time does not include our printing time, so if you're interested in this paper, be sure to let us know early in the process so we can start making the paper in parallel to creating your wedding stationery designs.

At the moment, we only make this paper available for the main Wedding Invitation (5x7 inches), making it a truly unique choice for your special day. If you’re interested in having more cards in cotton paper, let us know and we can advise of availability.

Our cotton paper is handmade here in Europe, and we make samples available for €45 Euros. In regards to stationery pricing, the price of our handmade cotton paper is the same as our other printing materials, such as acrylic and card stock.

We hope this information helps you decide whether our handmade cotton paper is right for your wedding invitations. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. We’d be delighted to assist you in any decision related to your Wedding Stationery Suites!

Please note we don’t offer the sale of unprinted sheets.

Please be aware that there may be slight differences in weight, color shade, and even size among individual pieces of handmade paper due to a variety of factors. These can include such as the pulp consistency, pressure applied, and the humidity of the air during drying (depending on the weather/season). Each of these individually can cause slight variations in the finished product. Therefore, all sizes, weights, and colors are approximate and may vary, though we do our best to maintain uniformity. All of this adds to the charm of the process!

Our most popular color is the one displayed here, soft white, so if you are looking for a different color please let us know and we can discuss the different options.

Currently, we offer letterpress and hot foil printing, we don't print digitally on handmade cotton paper.
