When Should You Send Out Your Wedding Invitations?
When to mail wedding invitations?
This is the question we get asked the most by our couples. We’ve compiled a handy list of “Whens” below, so you’ll be perfectly on time with all of your time-sensitive Stationery!
Bridal Shower Invitations:
These should go out 2 months before the Shower.
Save-the-Dates
6 – 12 months before the wedding, depending on if you are planning a local or destination wedding.
Bachelorette Party Invitations:
1 month before the party.
Wedding Invitations:
2- 3 months prior to your wedding date.
Destination Wedding:
Send them out a minimum of 3 months in advance.
RSVP Deadline:
1 month before the wedding.
Rehearsal Dinner Invitations:
1 month in advance.
Thank You Cards:
Gifts received during the engagement party: within 2 weeks.
Gifts sent before the wedding date: ASAP and make sure is before the wedding
Gifts given on the wedding day: within 2 - 3 months
Gifts received after the wedding day: within 2 weeks.
Having these timelines in mind, you would need to add some extra time in front for the design, printing, and shipping of your Stationery.
We currently accept weddings/events with at least 5 months of lead time. In addition, we limit the number of orders we accept per year in order to ensure we can give your big day our full and undivided attention. If you have any doubts about when to reach out to us to organize your Wedding Stationery, we recommend the sooner, the better!
